Fishing The Midwest Favorite Destinations
The Fishing the Midwest Fishing Team gets the opportunity every year to visit some great locations. Following are some of our favorites. Some of these locations have lots of things in addition to the fishing for the family to do, others offer a more wilderness experience.
All provide wonderful fishing opportunities. Keep these destinations in mind next time you’re planning a trip. Maybe we’ll see you there.

Lake
City, MN
There
are so many species of fish and ways to catch them that you
can spend years on the Mississippi River around Lake City
and still be finding new locations and techniques that will
be productive.

Yankton,
SD
Save some time at the end of the day to take a drive around
the countryside surrounding Yankton. You’ll see all sorts
of wildlife and scenic vistas. You’ll probably discover
that you need to spend more time exploring this area of southeast
South Dakota. |

Leech
Lake, MN
Leech Lake
is right on the shores of the town of Walker. Walker has a great
Main Street with a true Northwoods flavor. It’s lined
with shops and restaurants: Just the sort of stuff that fishing
trips are made of. |

Kabetogama,
MN
Kabetogama
Lake is situated in the heart of Voyageurs National Park, the
only national park in Minnesota, and is made up of about 25,000
acres of clean, cool water and mostly undeveloped shoreline. |
