Jim McDonnell - Fishing the Midwest with Bob JensenJim McDonnell is one of the real veterans in the world of fishing promotions and communications. Mac hails from the Great Lakes Region of Northwest Iowa and is the most sought-after guide in that area.

Jim has been involved in fishing promotions and communications for nearly twenty five years. He is the founder and president of the Iowa Great Lakes Fishing Club, one of the first fishing clubs in the Midwest.

Mac's work in the world of fishing has not gone unnoticed. Twice he has been named the Conservationist of the Year by the state of Iowa.

Mac is a noted fishing communicator. He is a popular seminar speaker, and his columns and feature articles have appeared in outdoor publications throughout North America. In addition, McDonnell is frequently used as a source of information by writers for national and world-wide publications. Mac has been featured in BassMaster, Fishing Facts, Fins and Feathers, and the Game and Fish Publications as well as dozens of outdoor and general circulation news-papers.

McDonnell has hosted a daily, five minute outdoor radio show for a number of years, and has also appeared as a guest on several outdoor television shows. Following his retirement from teaching in 1995, Mac is devoting his full-time energies to fishing and fishing promotion.
