Mike
Frisch is the newest member of the Fishing the Midwest Fishing Team. Mike
lives in Elbow Lake, Minnesota where he spends much time on the water or ice
chasing walleyes, panfish, and bass. Mike is a teacher/coach by profession.
Mike's fishing columns and
feature articles have been published by numerous outdoor publications and
general circulation newspapers. Mike is also the host of Fishin' with Frisch,
a five (5) minute weekly radio show that airs throughout his home-area of
central Minnesota. His goal as a fishing educator is to help more anglers be
more successful during their time on the water.
The summer months find Mike
guiding on west-central Minnesota lakes and fishing regional and national
walleye tournaments. During his guiding trips and tournaments, Mike is
continually developing and fine-tuning fishing techniques that he then passes
on in his writing and fishing seminars.
Mike is also actively
introducing more school-agers to the sport of fishing. Every spring Mike
presents a week-long angling unit to his high school physical education
classes. This unit is an approved part of his high school's curriculum and has
been very well accepted by the students taking the course.
